This is a photoshoot that i have done for my portfolio to show off what i have been doing for the last few weeks. I decided to do this to show my wallpaper in an environment that it could possibly be in if a customer was to buy it.
This is a piece that i did at a-level which was strongly influenced by my love for volkswagens. the piece is split into three pieces over two canvases. The left section being the rear of a beetle. The middle section being the campervan and the right section being the front of the beetle with the spare wheel showing.
This is a drawing of a still life that was set up in college. To create it i used oil paints and turps.
Recently we have been left a house. It was in a poor state and have decided to start to renovate it. I thought i would take some photos as im going along to show what and how we are doing.
And to show what the interior of the place will look like when it is finished and i have had my input on it
a website that i have found that has a lot of handmade wallpapers such as i am doing myself and will be able to use in my contextual link

I have been looking at Yanko design on the internet, a company that have a lot to do with product design. I found this piece called wallpaper that’s alive. i like the way that the wallpaper comes out of the wall to form shelves.
The wallpaper prints that i have made.
I designed my pattern and got it exposed onto a print screening screen. I then brought some lining paper and black acrylic and printed onto the lining paper using the screen. As it is a repeat pattern they all match up. There is some gaps where the pattern doesnt match but as a first attempt at repeat pattern print screening, i am very happy about it.
This is a chair that i have built out of my old volkswagen beetle parts. It consists of 2 rear wings, a rear bumper and a wheel.
To start of with i welded the two rear wings together, cutting the metal on the place where you would sit and then welding that flat as well. This gave me the main structure for my chair.
I thought it needed more stability so i placed the chair on top of the wheel, giving the hair a base but then also providing stability on the bottom of it. I then got a spare rear bumper and cut it in half. I then attached it to the two ends of the wings by welding them. I also but some metal braces for extra stability.
i made this chair at my time at coventry university.
So far the Christmas holiday i have managed a tidy of my sketchbook and to complete a personal statement.
I’ve now got to write another personal statement for my application for coventry university and to make some choices on other universities that I possibly may want to go to. Then both applications can be sent off
Pretty productive for me :)
